Modebest Builders Ltd considers health and safety to be a core business value. It is our belief that a safe and healthy working environment improves staff morale and site conditions leading to improved productivity and satisfied clients. Safety and environmental issues are taken into account at pre planning stage and a thorough method statement compiled with the site manager and safety adviser. All operatives are briefed on the method statement at induction.

We are committed to continuous improvement of our working procedures and systems and look to exceed the current standards wherever possible. Our sites are inspected on a regular basis by our in house Safety Adviser to ensure compliance. Our internal systems have also been audited and accredited by CHAS and the Safecontractor schemes.

Our supervisors are trained to a high standard in health and safety completing courses with the Contractors Health and Safety Group. The CITB safety supervisor’s course and also First aid training is carried out as required. All staff are encouraged to be involved in health and safety within the company and to correct and commend where required.

Our operatives receive the necessary training, information, plant, equipment and PPE to carry out their work in a safe and efficient manner. We are currently aiming for a 100% CSCS / CPCS workforce as a mark of our commitment to improving our safety standards on site. We also have numerous operatives in various stages of NVQs in both trades and plant operations.
